Regulatory status and service scope
Service availability, regulatory responsibilities and product limits.
Company details, regulatory information and actual operations still need verification. This draft requires completion and legal review before it can be used as a contract or final policy.
1. Status of this proposal
Single Control AB is in development. Planned launch: April 2027. No services described on this website are available today. Timing and scope may change.
2. Company and future service information
Single Control AB is based at Kungsholmstorg 5, Stockholm, Sweden. Registration number: [To be confirmed]. This draft does not identify a current regulated service provider. Service documentation must identify the legal provider, regulatory details and geographic scope.
3. What an EMI authorisation means
An electronic money institution can issue electronic money and provide payment services within its authorisation. EMI authorisation is not a banking licence. The actual authorisation and registrations determine which products and markets are permitted.
4. Safeguarding customer funds
Safeguarding differs from deposit insurance. An e-money balance is not a bank deposit covered by a deposit guarantee. Before use, the service must explain how funds are protected, which institutions are involved and what happens in insolvency. No specific safeguarding arrangement has been verified for this proposal.
5. Agents, distributors and accountability
License as a Service is a commercial term, not a separate authorisation. An agent or distributor arrangement requires legal assessment, agreements and any applicable registration. The regulated entity retains ultimate regulatory responsibility. A responsibility matrix must define customer duties and decision rights.
6. Product boundaries
The services focus on wallets, onboarding, compliance and payments. Cards and acquiring may involve partners. Own lending, principal acquiring, own card issuance and cryptoasset services are not verified capabilities. Multi-currency support does not authorise cryptoasset services. DORA is a regulatory framework, not a licence.
7. Risk assessment and delivery
We assess complex, legitimate activity using controls appropriate to its risks. Acceptance is never guaranteed for a customer, corridor or transaction. Timelines and service levels need confirmation after reviewing evidence, permissions, risk and external providers.
8. Verify before contracting
